Card No. 06: The AVRO 642 (Great Britain).
The 642 type is a twin-engined air liner of sixteen-passenger capacity designed for short-distance air lines. It has a long and high cabin, each passenger having a window from which there is an unobstructed view. The machine illustrated is used, during the busy season, on the London to Belfast service. It has a cruising speed of about 135 mph. A later type of the 642 modified to suit tropical conditions and powered by four engines is employed by H.E. the Viceroy of India for his official journeys.
