The Lego Microfigure is a taller-than-usual 1×1 single-stud brick sculpted to look like a stylised minifigure-style human, but smaller.

Uses

Blank Microfigures are often used as dolls, statuary, or as human figures included in ornate period building facades.

A notable use of Microfigures was as roughly-to-scale NASA astronauts in the Lego Saturn V build.

Patent

The patent for the Lego Microfigure design was submitted in 2008, and credited to Cynthia Bodin.
