The Trix Twin Railway presentations sets were made available in 1939 and were Trix' top-of-the range sets, with a loco and tender, three carriages and a power controller, supplied in a hinged box.
We think that Trix may have been inspired to prduce these fancy boxed sets by the Hornby gauge 0 Princess Elizabeth presentation set.
Range
There were three of the Trix TTR sets listed:
- 2/347 – The Coronation Scot US Tour train set
- 2/344 – Royal Scot train set , with Princess locomotive
- 4/344 – Flying Scotsman train set
Track was not included (presumably as it wouldn't fit in the box)
We are currently lucky enough to have two out of the three on show in the museum.
