An unbuilt Skybirds model aircraft kit, of a Cierva C.24 Autogiro.
The kit is complete, with all instructions, the wooden parts painstakingly strung to the white interior of a flat red box with top label.
Choice
Where other model manufacturers (Britains Ltd., Dinky Toys) chose to model the early open single-seater Cierva C.30, Skybirds, starting their model range later, chose to model the later C.24 autogiro, which was a two-seater machine with an enclosed cabin, superficially more similar to a modern light aircraft.
