Frank Hornby Week guided tours

Discover the life of inventor/toymaker Frank Hornby through a guided tour of the Museum’s world-class collection, and the three much-loved British toy brands that he created: Hornby Trains, Meccano and Dinky Toys.

Tours will be available from Tuesday 14th May to Saturday 18th May, 2013 (Frank Hornby Week).

This activity is part of the Museum's Heritage Lottery-Funded Frank Hornby 150th Anniversary project.

Timings

Guided tours are provisionally scheduled for 11am and 2:30 pm from Tuesday to Friday (12pm and 2:30pm on Saturdays), but exact start times may vary according to demand and circumstances.

Audiences

We currently plan to provide a mix of tours, with different guides providing the morning and afternoon weekday tours, to address different types of audience.

Pricings

Standard museum admission charges apply, but the tours themselves are free of charge to ticketholders, courtesy of the Heritage Lottery Fund.
