Card No. 43 : The JUNKERS G-38 (Germany)
This commercial giant carries thirty-four passengers and a crew of seven. It has the unusual feature of having accommodation for passengers in the wings as well as in the fuselage. The pilots are situated in the nose of the fuselage and behind this is the main passenger compartment consisting of two decks. There is a passage along the length of each wing enabling the engineers to attend to the four engines during flight. The G-38 has a cruising speed of about 112 m.p.h.; it is in regular use on German air routes.
