Modelcraft Magazine, and its included pull-out Modelcraft List were published as a sales aid by Modelcraft Ltd. from the late 1940s.
The "List" appeared as the central pages of the "Magazine", printed on darker paper and was effectively Modelcraft's brief catalogue listing of products and prices. The surrounding small-format "Magazine" contained additional articles and served as a "vehicle" for the List, and meant that the full publication could be charged for.
However, the List contents may have been more interesting to many buyers than the rest of the Magazine – in the Vol1 No5 issue the page numbering runs to eighteen pages (i to xviii, plus outside covers), while the List is larger, at 24 pages.
