A boxed silver red and blue diecast model twin-engined Airspeed Envoy G-AEXX, made by Meccano Ltd., as Dinky Toys 62k from 1938 to 1941.

The plane has a silver wings and tails, and its fuselage and engines have a red upper half and a dark blue lower half.

It has black identification numbering on the wings, and two red propellers, and comes with a special wire clip that can be fitted to the wings to allow suspension from a wire.

THE KING'S AEROPLANE

Dinky Toys No. 62k

Scale model of the Airspeed "Envoy" supplied to the air council for the King's Flight. It is finished in the colours of the actual aeroplane., and bears the correct registration on the wings.

This machine differs from the standard "Envoy" only in its luxurious equipment. It is a twin-engined low wing monoplane, fitted with two Armstrong Siddeley "Cheetah IX" engines, and has a top speed of 203 m.p.h. It has accommodation for four passengers, pilot, radio operator and steward, and is flown by Wing Commander E.H. Fielden, Captain of the King's Flight.
