A red lithographed tinplate Mettype Junior Typewriter with blue type-carriage, made by Mettoy in the 1950s.
The Mettype children's typewriter was a popular and distinctive part of the Mettoy range for some years.
Markings
While the typewriter has a set of false "QWERTY" kepys lithographed into its upper surface, the printing is actually done with a central rotary type-selector.
