An early green LNER "Hornby Series 4-4-4 No.2 Tank Locomotive, running number 1534, in its original embossed box.
The loco has a red baseplate edge trim and brass-coloured steam dome, and has "L & N.E.R. 1534" on the side of the tank in red-shadowed gold letters.
The loco is secured in the box with what look rather like white bootlaces, and the beautiful embossed box lid alongside says "The HORNBY Clockwork Loco No.2"
