A glorious display spread over two large cabinets of locomotives, carriages, stations, station signs and ticket machines, station stalls and other accessories, mostly from the first two decades of the Twentieth Century.

Contents

The main selection incorporates a reference collection of Bassett-Lowke pieces, focussing on manufacturers Bing and Georges Carette. The lower shelf has some additional pieces by Rosignol and 1930s Hornby Series items, and a group of early Märklin pieces from the date range ~1900-~1910.

Gauges range from the older gauge 3, gauge 2 and gauge 1, to the more popular subsequent gauge 0.

The contents are arranged in roughly chronological order, with the earliest (and largest) pieces on the top shelf.
