==Germany: “The cradle of the toy industry”==

From the late 19th Century came the beautifully sculpted hand-painted toys including sheet-metal cooking stoves, ships, cars, and of course the wonderful range of trains in differing sizes. Later days saw engines powered by steam, clockwork and electricity, carriages with opening roofs were fitted out with dining and sleeping facilities, even down to the passengers sitting to dine while others sleep with their little cloth blankets. Beautiful stations, bridges, and a charming range of accessories help to complete the range.

A great quantity of these treasures are to be found in the museum.

We do welcome German visitors to see Brighton Toy and Model Museum.
